Setup

Across all three bunches, this makes 30 tableau cards total, with only six cards initially visible—two per bunch. The remaining 22 cards go into the stock.

Tableau: 30 cards arranged as three compact bunches. Each bunch has three layers (4 cards, then 4, then 2), with only the top 2 cards of each bunch face-up at the start. Removing blocking cards reveals the layers beneath.
Stock (draw pile): The other cards are placed face-down in the stock. When you run out of playable tableau cards, you may draw the next stock card to the waste.
Waste: Played cards are moved to the waste pile. The top card of the waste determines which tableau cards you may play next.

Rules

Rank-based matching: You may play a tableau card that is one rank higher or lower than the current waste card.
First Move Flexibility: Because the waste pile starts empty, the first card you play from the tableau can be any of the six exposed cards. After the first play, normal rank-matching rules apply.
Face-up & unblocked cards only: A tableau card must be face-up and not covered by another card to be playable.
Single stock pass: You normally get only one pass through the stock pile. When the stock runs out, no additional draws are available.
No tableau building: You cannot move or rearrange tableau cards—only remove them.
Empty spaces remain empty: Removing a card does not shift or replace anything. Each bunch keeps its layered structure throughout the game.
